Yeah, shooters with a fixed perspective is a whole sub-genre of the action games genre here on newgrounds, which we can't claim to have invented ourselves. But the whole style and atmosphere that the art, sound, and the specific game mechanics create can actually make the games quite different from each other in terms of player experience. To me there's nothing sad about having made a great game in this genre, with unique art and takes on the gameplay.
