Way of An Idea

"Great game"

submission: Way of An Idea
date: December 21, 2009

I'm a big fan of these types of drawing games and physics puzzles, and the level design on this one is very good. I only got to level 11 though, because on 1st retry of that level the apple/ball was reset to coordinates 0,0 (top left corner) instead of where it's supposed to start on the level. A the same time the level registered as solved, so lvel 12 was unlocked on the main menu, but when trying this level, the ball also starts at 0,0 - guess I can't play any more until it's fixed. Minor bug, game is very good overall.

Hit Ups

"Bounce directions seem random"

I kept playing for a while because the graphics are generally pleasing, but I agree with rabidslasher that the physics need extra tweaking. This is the case with paddle and block collisions both.

Funny School Bus

"Mediocre"

submission: Funny School Bus
date: December 17, 2009

Graphics are very good, but the game and puzzle design is terrible! If you ever played traditional point and click adventure games you'll know designers do their best to avoid the so called 'pixel hunting' puzzles, because the activity of moving your mouse pointer over the screen until it comes across an active object simply sucks - it is both random and tedious. The puzzles have to make logical sense and require thinking rather than blind guessing. The way there is no logical progression to the story here, or to the order in which things become clickable makes it frustrating to me, like a movie (since there's only one solution) that pauses every 5 secs and simply 'hides' the play button among the on screen objects, asking me to guess where it went. More logic and less guessing your script in future games, plz.

Moonlight Sonata: The Den

"Entertaining, but a bit too easy"

date: December 9, 2009

I think this game is fairly good, and it's obvious a lot of work went into it, however it was way too easy. I found that by speed tapping the spacebar to continuously switch weapons, rate of fire was artificially boosted, making it easy to take out all enemies on all levels, mostly before they even reached the barricades. You get a good grade for the graphics and atmosphere, but for a better grade, harder gameplay is needed.

Mystic Cards

"Good job"

submission: Mystic Cards
date: October 6, 2009

Very cool game for its genre - it's easy to get started playing, despite the quite advanced rule set.

Music and graphics are generally great, but a few things could be improved:
* Attack animations could be more dynamic.
* Speed of enemy player discarding a card should be faster, it's frustratingly slow (and happens a lot.)
* Music/ambience on the 'Map' is hard to listen to.
* I think it would be more fun if both player and enemy started with at least a few points for spawning units instead of having to wait the first 2 or three turns for spawning. It just seems wrong to start out a battle by discarding ones own soldiers, but maybe that's just me. It seems some other players didn't understand this mechanic either.

But overall it's a very good flash game, so keep it up!

My New Town

"Quite detailed"

submission: My New Town
date: May 29, 2009

This seems both very detailed and very polished compared to the average sandbox/decorating game. I'm not a big fan of the genre, but this actually engaged me for a while, trying all the different options and functions. I haven't seen stuff like the weather effects, drawing functionality, save slots and print-buttons in this kind of application before, so that's a plus. Also, the controls are easy enough to use. Maybe add a few more roadtiles so it's possible to build connected roads with corners, intersections etc.

HeavenVsHell

"Nice graphics but a bit lacking in gameplay"

submission: HeavenVsHell
date: May 29, 2009

I like your graphical style, it has a very finished look, but I think the game itself is a bit strange. I can't make a strategy for playing, since there's no info on the stats or the different attacks, which means it becomes a more or less random clicking game. Also, sound effects or music would be good, as well as highscores or an option to restart the game after playing. Could be good if you put more work into it, though.

Marketing Cow

"Interesting"

submission: Marketing Cow
date: November 12, 2008

Interesting game and scoring system. although I'm surprised I went from Marketing Wannabe to Marketing Knight in just 5 minutes! One small bug is that some of the questions weren't legible, because text was cropped by the textfield boundary.

Alice in Spaceland 3

"Fun but a bit hard to see"

date: November 2, 2008

The game is good, and there's plenty variaton in enemy types and behaviours, but some of them are a bit hard to see. The 'whirlwind' enemy is almost insvisible, and the large M-shaped that shoots should have bullets that are easier to see (took me a while to figure out it was shooting. Checkered backgrounds are difficult, they almost require that all sprites have both a dark and a bright outline to retain visibility as they move over them. Keep it up, though, a few changes to the visuals and this game could rock.

Guitar Tuner 1.5

"Keep it up"

submission: Guitar Tuner 1.5
date: October 28, 2008

It looks okay, but is too hard to use, snice ths trings are hard to click as you say. I guess tuning my guitar with it would be rather frustrating. Perhaps you can zoom in on the guitar more? It would make a big difference.
